Through dicussion and practicle exercise, you will imerge more confident after you've learned how to write outside the box you are in.
PAINT ME A POEM HAIKU #6 - "The widest river - begins with one pesistant - narrow little stream..." 
THIS WORKSHOP EXPLORES EKPHRASIS - writing inspired by art; a workshop designed for adults and children to review Ekphrasitic poems and prose inspired by both classical and conteporary works of art and photography. From these discussions students will learn ways to approach writing about a work of art. (for example - writing in voice of a person in the artwork, writing in the voice of the artist, writing about the scene, etc. etc) Students will compose their own pose and prose from images they find in art books or from exhibits in the gallery or museum.
A NEW WORKSHOP!!! When Hands Speak Eyes Listen - a poetry workshop for the Deaf and the Blind Poet/Author Nathan Richardson accompanied by Sign Language Specialist Terri Copeland will amaze and inspire your students to use poetry and other forms of creative writing as a way to overcome the challenges of communicating as a deaf or blind person. Ms Copeland uses American Sign Language (ASL) to interpret Mr. Richardson's poetry which is celebrated worldwide for its vivid imagery and themes that highlight the diversity of humanity. This workshop consists of a 15 minute performance segment by the instructors and a 45 minute student participation segment, where the class is encouraged to write and interpret through sign language, their own original poems and short prose. Blind and deaf students are also encouraged to speak/recite their poems when possible, to build vocal expression skills.
